Совет Европейского Союза (вместе с Европейским парламентом формирует законодательную ветвь власти в Европейском Союзе; включает премьер-министров всех стран-членов Европейского Союза; в официальных документах Европейского Союза может фигурировать как Совет (Council); неформальное название — Совет министров (Council of Ministers), в случае принятия Конституции Европейского Союза это название станет официальным; не путать с Советом Европы (Council of Europe, независимая международная организация), и Европейским советом (European Council, самостоятельная, хотя и тесно связанная с Советом Европейского Союза организация, также известна под названием Европейский саммит))
